If You Listened To Me

If You Listened to Me is a short animated film created by young people currently living in Wales. The film explores types of discrimination facing young people as they interact on a daily basis with adults and their peers. The project participants identified the difficulties they had encountered when trying to represent themselves, in relation to racism, living in care, dealing with mental health issues, and being judged for their sexuality. The message they communicate is of the importance of suspending judgements and making time to listen. This film was made by Winding Snake in collaboration with the Participation Unit at Save the Children Cymru, and was funded by the Welsh Government initiative Reach the Heights.
